Do you peel off the lettuce from a head of lettuce as it wilts or do you buy a new head ?

Wash it off and use it...too much work to get a new one.

He bought one today and I told him we had one. He insisted on it being fresh so I didn't say anything. But when we got home I showed him my sandwich. (We made sandwiches for dinner) The lettuce was fresh and crisp. I just peeled the out layer off.

Not lettuce but cabbage. I use it at work and certainly don't want to waste it there.

I eat it the brown dont bother me as long as its not mushy
