Maybe my parents knew before I did?

Growing up my mom always said when they passed out brains you thought they said trains and you hopped on one!!! She'd also say that I'd lose my head if it wasn't screwed on right!!!!And my dad always called me scatter brains!!! And yes I did lose my mind when I was let out into the world on my own!! He also called me his little terrorist! And they both called me Bird Brain!!! Yeah I had loving parents, or maybe they saw something in me that only a parent could see my ultimate demise! But I am OKAY I AM OKAY Jesus Christ saved me and showed me how to live and love and all that Jazz and gave me His wisdom so I AM OKAY!!!

I’ve been thinking about what your parents used to say to you, and I want to be honest with you. Even if they said those things jokingly, hearing them over and over—words like ‘scatterbrain’ or ‘bird brain’—that isn’t what loving parenting looks like. Those words could really stick and shape the way you saw yourself growing up.

I can understand how it would be easy to start believing them, even though they weren’t true. But struggling later in life doesn’t mean they were right—it just shows how much their words affected you.

I want you to know that I don’t see you that way at all. I see someone who has been through a lot, who cares, who believes, and who is learning and growing. That is who you really are—not what anyone called you as a child. You are deeply loved and seen for the amazing person you truly are. I see you as a faithful loving servant whose heart is full of God and love for Him.
