I'm pretty sure I have Hyperthymesia

People I know who were there with me can't remember things we did 30+ years ago - but I remember them very well....

It's happened a few times, and I started to wonder why they don't remember.

I've experienced this before too. Some people hold on to past memories way better than others. I've always been that person and in my case I think it's linked to trauma. Part of me gets left in the past and I'm still there. Other people simply moved on, they don't hold on to certain memories because they no longer have relevance in their lives.

People with dementia remember past events too.

@RosaMarie I know...that's the scary thing....but so far, I do remember what I had for breakfast....

probably...so many people must have either a DSM 5 book handy or a textbook of internal medicine diseases
