I Had An Embarrassing Moment

It finally happened... a very sweet lady at the grocery store asked me 'when I am due'.
I panicked and said '5 weeks'.

I am not expecting a baby 馃槀

This happened to me when I first gained weight while under much stress in my middle years. Anyone should know better than to say something like that to any woman. I wonder how "sweet" she really is. For some women, it's a way to inflict a catty insult. In any case, she should know better.

@greenmountaingal Yeah, if she had said it like 'excuse me, but are you pregnant?' I would have corrected her and thought it rude. Or if there was any sort of tone to how she asked me. But I was happy to accept it was an actual mistake and she was just being nice. If I was only a bit chubby maybe I would correct her too but the fact is I do have a large/round tummy and ok, she jumped to that conclusion, but I don't think she stopped a second to even think about saying it as an insult.
