I used to be terrified that I would be asked this question. Now I'm asked if my sister is my daughter...which is equally disturbing to me.

I am actually quite bad at telling a person's age but wouldn't ask that question / assume what relationship a person is to somebody. As for pregnant or not, that is such a bad one to get wrong I would never ever ask!
The lady today clearly meant no harm at all though so didn't take offense or feel bad about it.

@Emele My father was in his 40s when I was born. Down through our years together, people would refer to him as "Grampa." It upset him and I would usually correct the person. People should not make stereotyped assumptions about people they Don't know.
