What sexual education if any have you received ?

I've never had any from my parents when they were still alive, or from school. To this day I feel there's a massive gap in my understanding about sex, romance, romantic/adult love, intimacy, relationships, etc. and I don't understand much about women's bodies despite two LTR's and a handful of failed dating attempts in the intervening years.

We did sex ed in highschool. Learnt about STDs and safe sex. The rest i just learnt myself over the years. Maybe research what you are lacking?

@Isthisit I guess confidence plays a large part with sex and intimacy too. Lacking that is part of the overarching social phobia.

@zonavar68 I totally understand as i suffer from social phobia as well.
I got the basics anatomical parts in school, my mum gave me a book to read on 'growing up', and disgruntled, i bought the karmasutra when i was about 15 and read my dads playboys (whose articles werent what i thought theyd all be.)

Did my own research growing up, asked lots of questions, tried some stuff and still enjoy looking stuff up and finding stuff out.

Biggest thing ive learnt is.....everyone is different when it comes to the psychology and physiognomy of sex and love.
What works with one, may not work with another .

@OogieBoogie I don't think I was ever told about things like condoms, 'protection' in general, etc. My mum used to make me feel that sex was bad (I never had girlfriends at all in school or when I went to uni for a while), and dad wasn't around after him and mum got divorced over 40 yrs ago. I didn't have any sex until mid to late 20's, and I felt completely confused and out of my depth. To this day I am extremely scared of sex, and the thought of receiving oral sex makes me recoil in horror.
