Worst = being taught the rules of Rugby on a freezing February aternoon - standing around on frozen mud , getting frozen ourselves whilst he explained to us that Rugby is a game for Gentlemen, Soccer is a gentlemen's game.
Best = mixed field hockey - but I did not understand why the girls had to dress as if they were doing gymnastics and we boys were properly dressed for Rugby - wierd....!!

@Justme264 We had to wear gym knickers for hockey . . even in January. Hence my joy at being allowed to do gymnastics instead 🤸♀

@GentleLucille On that particular day playing mixed field hockey the girls had to wear their white T shirts and navy blue knickers - I guess that was their netball kit but minus the skirts.
I have no idea about the final score!

@Justme264 PE skirts were part of our uniform, but we usually took them off for games as they got in the way.

@GentleLucille Do you mean you had to wear PE skirts in the corridors and lessons?
GentleLucille · 26-30, F
@Justme264 We changed into them, then got told to take them off for hockey, gymnastics, etc 😩

@GentleLucille So all the boys would watch you play hockey through the classroom windows?
GentleLucille · 26-30, F
@Justme264 Secondary school was girls only.
