@Jess20 I remember thinking that I could run faster with no shorts on, but don't know if that was just imagined 🤔 I think I probably preferred doing gymnastics in my undies rather than a leotard, even though it was quite embarrassing at first.

@SunshineGirl Maybe you ran faster because you wanted to get finished because you were in just your knickers lol

@SW-User Yep, that thought had occurred to me 😳 Especially in the winter, it was a big incentive to move faster 😂

@SunshineGirl might have to consider running in my knickers if I ever want to beat my 5k PB lol 😂

@lizzielost one vivid memory I have of leapfrog is feeling other girls’ freezing cold hands on the skin of my back.

@lcclinton4 Awh, hope you girls didn't stay cold for long 😊 My teacher's solution was to get us to run even faster! 🙄 I remember forming a pyramid with the rest of the class and only realising how cold my feet were when the two girls below me were supporting me with their hands 🥶

@lcclinton4 If you are setting up a traditional PE lesson it should just be gym knickers only. Topless and bare feet

@SandraB we did the first year of senior school in just our pants.

@lcclinton4 oh wow. Might of well as just gone without! I don't think I'd have liked that. Imagine getting them muddy on the cross country then having to wear them the rest of the day.

@SandraB knickers were for lessons in the gym. Outdoors we had gym knickers and vests.

@lcclinton4 oh my mind running wild. We had vests and gym knickers for outdoor activities and gym knickers and bare feet indoors if you forgot you went without

@SandraB well we couldn’t forget our indoor kit! Outside we did the same - if you forgot your kit you went without, even in the middle of winter.

@lcclinton4 we went without any knickers as we weren't allowed to wear uniform knickers unless we had a spare pair for hygiene reasons. I can sympathise with you I remember now been stood in the cold and frost with bare feet and legs about to go running
