@RebeccaG secondary school we had to, but primary where it was choice I’d always left the plimsolls off!

Bare feet always.I ran track and cross country barefooted at school too.

I think we only had to be bare-footed for dance. Everything else, we wore plimsolls.

We did gymnastics, dance and drama in bare feet. Plimsolls for other activities unless you forgot in which case you had to go without.
