Boy do I have a bone to pick
Got milk?
The reason I ask is because bones are made of some really precisely designed structures that would astonish the untrained eye.
Bones have a pretty cool structure from the top down.
Pretty standard. A picture you see at the orthopedic offices on visits.
But having a closer look, we can see a couple of places of distinction I'd like to point our attention to.
There is spongy bone and compact bone.
Compact bones can be compartmentalized into osteons. With blood vessels and canals and stuff, these are what make you feel a shock throughout your whole body when they get hit. Even though they're tough, they can still bend.
Alongside compact bones, a different and essential part is the spongy bone. And no, Spongebob is nothing like them.
Spongy bones are quite a sight to behold.
In them are these spaghetti like structures.
This is trabeculae. Witnessing this, some might think
A monumental network of perfect precision and function. Found in every healthy human to perfection. This is one of the astonishing components of the human body that upon closer inspection would call us to think and really reflect on it, its origin, and help us appreciate who and what we are.

But there's more than meets the eye with this remarkable body we pilot.
Why not dig a little deeper each day?

I've seen 5 year olds scribble something like that
But such words couldn't be farther from the truth. What you see before you is the kind of superhuman precision, design, and structure people make up in alien movies. The structure of trabeculae is so accurately set up that it's designed to withstand stretching and warping from all directions at one time from all angles.....A monumental network of perfect precision and function. Found in every healthy human to perfection. This is one of the astonishing components of the human body that upon closer inspection would call us to think and really reflect on it, its origin, and help us appreciate who and what we are.
