Why do I have to have two stupid subjects at once?

Both philosophy and literary theory at the same time. Philosophy is stupid because it is all vague bullshit about nothing except people going on and on about how wise they are while not actually doing anything of merit. Literary theory is the same with reading stuff from various perspectives and criticisms. Seriously I read an entire chapter on new criticism theory and still didn’t understand what it meant.

Seriously why do I need to know all the theories and how they relate to the great gatsby. The book is boring crap anyways and just shows how vain rich people are. When I write a book I do it to tell a story and entertain not to give some big message or brag about how smart I am. It’s just all stupid and hasn’t helped my writing at all. I’ve had one single class about writing this entire time and Im a creative writing major!

Now here’s a dancing monkey

I remember walking out of my elective philosophy class, going to the registrar and dropping it. I replaced it with a history class that was significanly more interesting. As I was walking out, the professor said, "where do you think you are going?" I replied, "to find something that does not waste my time and money."

@goliathtree it’s to late to drop it for me. It’s going to be an exhausting two months.
