One of the things that drew me to math was the objectivity of it

But there seems to be more subjectivity than I hoped for in some of these proof based classes 😒

I used to tutor math. I love math.

@SmileOnYourBrother I actually even like the class I’m in but it frustrates me so much when the instructor gives the lowest possible rank for a problem where I drew the right conclusion but they think part of my proof wasn’t explained well or something.

I love math because it’s so factual and absolute.. unlike spelling which is wack
I struggle with math. Blessed with dyslexia! I flip the damn numbers around. I understand the formulas though! It's crazy maddening lol

@ThesebootsRmade4walking sounds frustrating. Hopefully one day we will find a way to work with people with dyslexia better. One of them could have the key to new discoveries in that brain if theirs

The cat wants to know if you need to borrow his abacus
Onryo · 22-25, F
@ShepherdBard so do I
ShepherdBard · 31-35, M
@Onryo you’re really ticking him off and this needs to stop
@Onryo lol i actually had to do a book report in math about the abacus. I think it was for extra credit back in 1995😂

@Punxi yep, bullseye.
I like the material but it’s very fast paced and the feeling of having to explain every step just right is stressful 😣

Math is devilry. 😤

ShepherdBard · 31-35, M
@thepeculiarpanda then why are you holding a plus sign?
Check mate 😎
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
2 + 2 = 4

That's not subjective. Go fetch your abacus and try again 🙄
