Heights...Probably because my brother threatened to throw me over the side of the cliff at Niagara Falls when I was five years old. I white knuckle it when I drive over huge bridges, and I have to stay in the center lane.
Snakes...Probably because I was nearly attacked by a very large bull snake when I was 11 years old, (he coiled right up on me and became VERY tall before my cousin dragged me away), and because my lovely boy cousins chopped the head off a snake with a hoe, allowed its body to curl around the handle of the hoe, and chased me all around the farm yard with it while I screamed hysterically.
The frightening faces I see behind my closed eyelids when I am trying to sleep. Fortunately, I've got a handle on that now. They go away very quickly when I tell them that God loves them and that He forgives them.
