Am I imagining things, or did my new car just say “traffic ahead“ roughly a quarter mile before I hit the congested portion of the freeway? 😮

@justanothername possibly, although I didn’t have any of my navigation systems engaged at the time. I’m still getting used to the features in this thing though, and it does a lot of things I would not expect. It’s a 2024 Toyota Venza.

@Zaphod42 Those alerts may be turned on by default. You should be able to go into your cars navigation settings and turn any traffic alerts off.

@justanothername I’m not upset that it’s on, it just took me by surprise. I’ve had it a week and that’s the first time it did that.

@Zaphod42 I find a lot if that stuff to be very irritating so I don’t have it turned on.
