a "dry clean only" garment that had to learn the harsh reality of belonging to you?

Not quite 'dry clean only' but twice I have bought nice wool jumpers, my mother destroyed one and my wife (a couple of years later) destroyed the other in the washing machines. And they say men don't know how to do housework.
