The media portrayal of autism has done it some favours in the way of acceptance and awareness but hasn’t done it much justice in terms of what it’s really like. When people think autism they think Sheldon Cooper and that’s cool cause he’s super smart and hilarious cause he’s odd. It’s really not like that.
