Back in the day, even studying "The classics" used to be considered of value. In that it taught research skills and study habits.. But these days, French poetry and Egyptology wont get you very far..I used to use "Remidial Macrame" as the example of the useless diploma. But I believe there is a genuine course somewhere on the music of the Beatles that has limited application..😷
