Education is the ultimate weapon. Animals teach other how to hunt, and how to survive. But us humans teach each other how to learn. Maybe that's why we're on top of the world. And if you can't believe in education then what can you believe in?
Modern education is about filling minds with the version of the day, how about to 'think for ones own self' I read and read, then put into practice ....... Quote for you: Thought engenders thought. Place one idea upon paper, another will follow it, and still another, until you have written a page. You cannot fathom your mind. It is a well of thought which has no bottom. The more you draw from it, the more clear and fruitful it will be. There are multiple meanings to the word 'education' as you used it in the posting. Education as in trades training, Education as in enabling and encouraging thought and education as is indoctrination into the latest 'intellectual' fad. The first two I am a huge supporter of, that last one I oppose with equal zest.
