I Think Education Is Important

I say the only two questions on the real IQ test should be:

#1 How fast can you count backwards from 100...by sevens?

#2 How fast/accurately can you map out the family tree described in the song, "I'm My Own Grandpa"?

[@Averahere] It took me 9 minutes and 50 seconds but it wasn't that hard. I think the test is pretty good to measure intelligence because it tests how fast and accurate you can be in modeling concepts, which is after all, a form of intelligence.

over kill, and unfair cultural bias, and on the purely conceptual tests, not enough variety, so that's unfair too

this one is quick and combines the two main factors, concentration and memory.

by the way, I would fail, absolutely.

@Platoscave Well, I have strong concentration, crappy short term memory but good long term memory. Something tells me you wouldn't fail it. In which tests do we find cultural bias and how?

I can't follow family trees. That song always miffed me since the first time I heard it, and even after SEEING the lyrics...I still couldn't understand why the incest was SOFT and involved two connections. Other people did though!

Then I lost the page which explained it and I got so frustrated I had to post something about it here.

@Existentior the wais and wisc are flawed that way. Some people don't consider "amassing information" as important as just knowing how to do stuff. So they wouldn't score as well on the vocabulary, information and similarities. Just a good guess. I'm no pro.
