I just received a distinction grade for the first time since I started at Oxford.

It was on a Roman law essay about the concept of property.

I was convinced it was a pile of shit too 😭 I genuinely believed it to be the worst thing I'd ever written.

I am very critical of my work. I came here thinking myself very skilled in argumentation, so any small imperfections in what I write do bother me.

But I really just didn't expect this 😅
