How was your university experience (if you went to university)?

I went to Sapienza here in Rome, and I got my degree 📜 but it wasn’t easy because when I started I was a new mother.

It was layered. It was really stressful, even though I got a degree. it wa all consuming at times--I did not have a social life and my weekend jobs sucked because I could not have a career job in school.

Friendships were fleeting---people transfering to other uni's or flunking out i learned alot of cool stuff / I think a lot of people go to college and come out saying they ddin't learn much ---I was not in that camp.

I rememeber being so freaking broke most of the time. I think in the USA at least, most college kids, unless they come from wealth are so freaking broke--self included. I remember eating in a diner in my senior year and being so happy my part time gig gave me enough money to eat at a diner by myself.

I stayed in touch with a dozen of my college buddies after school. All of them did really well, including the ones that dropped out before graduating.

I remember my graduation day in detail, the weather, the chairs, the green grass, but it was so anti-climatic at the college level. It is like you put years in get a ceremony piece of paper (real degree mailed to you later) and and some prof I never had a class with shakes my hand as says "good luck"

I thiink mostly it was so fleeting--so brief. It was all consuming when I was there but when I left it became a distant memory so quickly.
