Has a professor withdraw you from a class because of your scored poorly on a test?

My professor said if I don’t get a 70% or higher from my Test 1, he would have to withdraw me from the class. I’m two classes away from graduating! I looked at the materials, asked for help and I not giving up. I’m not withdrawing from this class. I’ll have to keep retaking the test, even if it takes all night! I don’t wanna wait another year to graduate. The quizzes I’m doing great. Gotta go, bye.

No because you were being inconsistent in studying or just too lazy to get help. I hate to tell you this but it’s your fault if you get withdrawn from the class. If you didn’t ask for help, that’s your fault.

That’s a little bit harsh @PetiteJulie01

Some professors do that to keep a spotless reputation about their high success rate.

Why not just fail you? This smells to high heaven of someone trying to meet some metric. Go talk to the Chair of the Department. If that doesn't work, go higher.

Nope I think the only reasons you got withdrawn was for misconduct or failing an exam.
