Currently getting through this damn algebra class. Three more classes and I’ll get my associates degree!

I am retaking an algebra class again. I have three more math classes I have to take and it’s required for me to graduate. What’s the point of this damn algebra, unless you’re going to be a scientist or an algebra teacher.
I’m majoring in Elementary Education/Special Education. I came too far and I’m not giving up. I’ve been told, “Why do you wanna be a teacher?!” Or “Pick another job” or “Meh”.
Other peoples opinions are not gonna stop me. I currently work at a school for students on the autism spectrum (on summer vacation now). Its relatable because I’m on the spectrum myself. It’s a lot of work but I love it. I’m also learning and studying to be a teacher. Anyways my plan is to get a bachelors degree afterwards. Let’s do this!
Gotta go study. Peace! ✌🏾

Being a teacher matters. High five. And I think one of the reasons that algebra is taught is because it demands accuracy and studying to get there. Opinions don't count. So I think it teaches people how to think. The problem is that not everyone thinks in those terms. I got great grades in everything but algebra and geometry. Just didn't resonate. No matter how hard I tried. I think people get penalized for things they're not super in control of.
