Good afternoon

I am an Art student. We have to hand in our last term's work on 5th January. I have been working almost every day. Writing my dissertation in the morning. Walk after lunch. Making jewellery in the afternoon. But after writing my dissertation this morning I felt like a break. I haven't been online since before Christmas and thank you those who messaged me Merry Christmas on Christmas Day. I feel sad that only now have I had those messages.

What's the topic of your thesis please?
@helenS Y Ffactorau sy'n Dylanwadu ar Gelf Ranbarthol. It means the factors which influence regional Art. I have done a study of Welsh medieval paving tiles and now am writing about art in Africa.

@LilirWyddfa Thank you – and it's great you provided me with a translation! 🌷
@helenS I put it in Welsh first because that is the title and I am not confident in translating.

@LilirWyddfa did the Welsh recycle a lot of Roman (well, sub-Roman) tiles? I know parts of England, that was pretty endemic in much of the medieval period
@firefall I have no idea. I just know the tiles which remain to this day and it's just rhyfeddol that we can walk over tiles made in the 13th century.

@LilirWyddfa yes, it is. Where we lived in West London, there was a church we visited a couple of times, dating from the 10th century (very small & cramped, naturally enough, but amazing to just think of the years it's seen and stood).
@firefall I know and you can touch the same places as did our great dot times loads wedi touch heddiw.
I don't know how to say in English.

@LilirWyddfa I understand. Well, google translate helped a lot lol - to step in the same place as your direct ancestors is an awesome thought.
@firefall It so is. I can tread on tiles a tiler made in 12 something!
