I Am Unsure About College

My dad wants me to go to the community college nearby the first two years but I sort of want to go right to the university. Dad says I need time to explore different subjects and decide what my major will be and community college is better for that. But it sort of doesn't seem like really being in college to me. Maybe he is right though.

Go to university instead of a local community college. A large number of students do change their major course of study after a year or two but at the university you won't loose any of your course credits. I know some people who have lost course credit hours by transferring from a community college to a university. If you do go to a community college can you go to one that is connected to the university you want to go to?
