@JoyfulSilence working on getting more students for my studio and finding another music job to do in the mornings. I鈥檒l probably work towards a masters in music therapy or pedagogy eventually

I cannot play anything though. But I have never tried. In any event, I do not like being around live music because it hurts my ears. I have tinnitus.

@JoyfulSilence I wear earplugs now whenever I got I a live show so that I won鈥檛 damage my ears any more than I already have. Music is certainly a wonderful part of this world! It鈥檚 great whether playing it or just listening to it:)

@Effloresce Firecrackers were the cause of my hearing damage. I have had ringing and hissing in both ears since I was 17.
I am sorry you have damage, I hope it does not get worse.
Pianos do not seem to bother me, though. Only loud or high pitched sounds do, like violins, trumpets, and flutes.
My favorite sound is the harpsichord.
