I Am a University Student

Well, technically speaking, I'm not a university student just yet. I'm actually still in high school!

Ever since I was about seven or eight years old, I've known that I want to be a barrister. (A type of lawyer)
Since ninth grade, I've been focusing hard on my studies- At least four hours after school of hard study everyday in the library, reading books on philosophy, law, politics, whatever could possibly help me.
Now I'm scared of failure. I'm going to apply for a scholarship to a prestigious university in the next few months, and to be quite honest, I'm terrified of what could go wrong. My partner will be supporting us both financially while I am in university, but it's temporary until I am out of university, as then we want to become parents, with him being a stay at home dad. I'm afraid to disappoint him, my family, and even myself.

Does anyone have any advice? Advice on studying law, getting scholarships, not giving up, just anything that could possibly help me- I'm open to everything at the moment.

Work hard and contact existing law firms asking for voluntary work or details of internships they offer?
