I was in your shoes just 1 year ago. Im now 21yrs old. I had taken 2 gap years before i started college to learn more "real-world" type things which included understanding & preparing my taxes, car maintenance, learning adult world jargon, street smarts etc. It really paid off for me. However i felt a bit rusty once i decided to get back into the school world and i was but its just like anything else. First couple weeks were hard. But eventually with consistent effort and hard work i got back into it. Although i didn't pass my math class, I finished the semester with more knowledge than before and thats what counts. I tried my hardest too. I'll be retaking my math class, only this time It'll be a breeze because i stored the material into my long term memory.
