Practically speaking, one has to be aware all the time so that anger doesn't strike because once it strikes, you are gone. You can only manage your actions then but chemically you have done damage by creating hormones of stress, etc..

I don’t know. Under certain circumstances in can sharpen your focus, make you think more realistically about your options.
