Driver's Ed really?

You're actually teaching me how to use a seatbelt? That's something parents should teach their children.

And really? A stop sign means stop!?! I never would've guessed馃檮

I've lived in states with a driver's ed requirement and states with no such requirement. Why even have traffic laws in the latter?

You know why accidents happen? People don't know what they're doing on the road (and not paying attention). You have no idea how many accidents are the result of "I was just..." and "No one told me that."

Driver's ed isn't' about lines and seat belts, precious as it is you have all the answers. It's about knowing how to navigate in bad weather conditions so your passengers live through the trip. It's about understanding right of way and merging so you don't have to hear the $800 sound of metal scraping metal. It's knowing the traffic laws so you don't plow through a kid crossing the street from a school bus across the road.

@WhisperingBanshee: yes ik. But it doesn't have to teach me literally everything. I'm pretty sure everyone knows how a seatbelt works

@LilFoot: This is fair. I feel the same way about airplanes. Eve if you've never flown, "insert buckle into belt" seems fairly rudimentary.

It's mundane, but you'd be surprised by the number of clueless teens, not pointing fingers just saying馃檪

@Smokey: not just clueless teens there are adults who passed their drivers test and still don't know these things.

@badazzbasicbich: very true lol

What's the difference between a yellow line and a white line?
LilFootF
@badazzbasicbich: a solid yellow line on side of road is a "no passing zone"

Double yellow lines are not to be crossed.

White stop lines are painted at traffic signs/signals to mark where to stop

Solid white lines shouldn't be crossed if possible... Double solid white line is where crossing is prohibited

Yellow center line keep right of it, you may cross the broken line to pass or when the right half of roadway is closed
LilFootF
@LilFoot: one-way roadway, each lane is marked with a broken white line; you may drive in either lane

Lol, nowadays it is necessary to state the obvious as well as what you're really there for to learn...
