If you have one, tell me what is your life like? Do you work in higher academia? How is life that way?

depending on your path/intent, it's becoming less and less economically useful to have college degrees, much less advanced degrees. if I were 18 now, I'd be looking seriously at skilled trades as a course.

@dirge I already have a bachelors and masters, but I agree with you about the practical need in looking into the trades

I work as a licensed psychologist.
My master’s degree taught me what is known.

A PhD compels me to question it, extend it, and leave something behind that did not exist before.
