English is my mother tongue and I have and use a large vocabulary. My mother was born in Wales and my father was born in Canada I kind of straddle the line. My cousin from Wales came to visit his family in Canada. He couldn't stop laughing at a word he saw in Calgary. Shaganappi. It means rawhide that was wrapped around wagon wheels in Canada. It means something very different in England.

I was born on the European continent and learned English at school, like most people from the continent.

Later in my teenage years, I attended a Summer course of intensive English in Ireland. I loved the people and the country, so I decided to stay for a while. That stay extended beyond just one year and now, I call Ireland my home.
