By necessity. I was bedridden for four years as a kid, so Mom had to homeschool me. She was a teacher, so academically I exceeded my grade level when I returned to school. But have spent the rest of my life trying to catch up on social skills with my peers -- particularly those of the feminine persuasion -- with whom I had no contact during my pubescent years.
