There's all kinds of smart, and some of the most useful ones arent measured.🤷‍♀️

I tested at 148 at the beginning of third grade in September 1978. They wanted to send me to a montessori for gifted children, but it was too late in the year to apply for a scholarship and my parents couldn't afford tuition on their own, so we opted to apply for my fourth grade year. However we moved to the next city over about eight miles away, but had its own district, between semesters, but my new teacher refused to recognize my work from my previous school, in the same Oregon county no less, and not only made me start from scratch, but made me keep up with the current studies, forcing me to do double homework every night. It turned me into loving school, to completely hating it within a month, which severely affected my grades, and detroying my chances at getting a scholarship to the montessori. ALL BECAUSE my mother spanked a neighbor kid in our apartment complex, which the kids' parents agreed with the court that if we moved they wouldn't press charges. Looking back, I wish they had pressed charges.
