Adult Education

As of this very moment, if you could work towards earning a degree, what would it be in? I would pursue aviation. I wish I knew this when I was 18.

I have no desire to go back to school, even part time, since it is a lot of work, I already have a job to occupy my time, and I am old and just want to retire. Yet I love to learn. I watch a lot of educational YouTubes on science and history.

Where I work, if people want an advanced degree, they often will support the effort with time and money, as long as you stay a while. I never took advantage of it, but did take night classes early in my career to fill in some gaps in my knowledge. It was all free to me, except commuting to class after work was always a pain.

@JoyfulSilence I hear ya, this is more about finally discovering something you might be passionate about. When I finished high school I didn't have any interests but I finally do. Been winging it ever since. "College Day" at school sucked back in the 80s. When my youngest graduated high school almost 4 years ago, the whole college thing was different and interesting.

Good luck on your learning.

I am watching You Tubes on general relativity!
