So this horrible secondary school teacher here refused to call a student by their chosen name

And insisted on referring to the student by their dead name and also refused to use their chosen they/them, he was suspended from his job and also refused to accept the suspension and turned up at school last week and continued with the abuse, he's now gone to prison.. Story attached, kind of shocking tbh..

I am sorry I agree with him . What happened to the freedom of choice or freedom of speech etc that everyone goes on about . People may disagree with him but jailing him is an invasion of his rights and wrong . That is telling him he has no right to his beliefs and no right to voice them wrong wrong wrong . I hope he sues the police and the school . What is it coming to when the state becomes big brother and our freedoms stopped what next . Sorry but this is totally wrong and once again our government are hippacrittes .
@Rhode57 freedom of choice and speech doesn't allow you to do whatever you want and he wasn't even arrested for that. He was fired for breaking school policy and arrested for repeatedly showing up for a job he was fired from.

@Rhode57 He was jailed for trespasssing. He had a temporary court order to stay away from the school, as should always be done when you are trying to determine if a student was abused, whether you are deemed guilty or not.

@Lucyy Ah okay misunderstood what was written but still seems a bit harsh for trespassing . Surely a stiff hit in the pocket would have been more apprpriate .

@Rhode57 it's not your government, I live in the Irish state, The Republic of Ireland

@Rhode57 I disagree tbh when it comes to the safety of children. Whether you are guilty or not is irrelevant. If an investigation of a childs safety is taking place, and the adult being investigated for abuse towards a child breaks a court order to stay away from the place that that child is required to be during the day, it should absolutely be brought down hard if you are coming near that child before it is determined that you are not a threat to them.
