Nope we didn’t. We had to wear soft-sole shoes on the gym floor back then. And due to the male athletes getting preference we usually didn’t even do anything till the last 5 minutes of class. I think the gym teachers were in the teachers lounge taking a 45 minute break after roll call, it was right across from the auditorium-gym. Happened in high school PE too.

@Hayleywg We had to buy uniforms, ugly ass uniforms, change into them, had to pay for a lock fee and towel fee, didn’t work out to need a shower but a handful of times during the school year, the teacher would come back the last 5 minutes and tell us to do a trivial set of exercises making us have to run when the bell rang, change our clothes and get to the next class. This happened in junior high and high school both. I don’t think PE should even be a class at this rate. And everyone who wants driver’s ed should be able to get it and not have to pay a high fee for it like now.
