Do People Take Time Off Even in their Senior Year?

Has anyone here done this? How did it go? What did you do? What jobs/ trades go well during time off? And is it worth it to even continue pursuing this damn music liberal arts degree? I feel empty and unmotivated.

I feel like taking off senior year might be a mistake. Of course, it might not, too.

Is there something you especially want to do between now and graduation that seems time-sensitive? If not, think about sticking it out. It will be hard to go back to school and you may end up with that "didn't finish that" regret.

I could be completely wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.

@Mamapolo2016 I've been thinking a lot about that, too.

The only thing I want to do is be able to make myself work. This has been a struggle for me as long as I can remember. It's hard to stay still, stay on one task, turn assignments in, and that's caused great pressure and holdback on my graduation which was supposed to be Spring 2021. Now it's projected to be Fall 2022 or Spring 2023. I originally started Fall 2017 but took off time to go to the hospital for mental health reasons.

I definitely think, just being the way I am, that leaving now would mean that I would probably not come back. I know that, especially being a brown man in the US and seeing what my parents went through without having a degree, it's hard to be taken seriously in the professional world and considered for promotions without at least a bachelor's degree of some sort.
@InvictusIndigo I wish that weren't so, but I'm afraid it is. In any field.
