Is college financially impossible for many young people?

There are options though, My kids were thinking about going to this private Christian college next fall, but after we looked at the tuition for it, they are thinking about going to a local community college for at least a year, which would be much cheaper. I understand that college is not for everyone. You don't really need a college degree to be successful, depending on the career path that you desire to take.

I'd suggest going to a community college for 2 years. Get the basics out of the way. Make sure that they stay in contact with an academic advisor EVERY SEMESTER so that they are only taking classes that will transfer to university. That's what I did. Graduated with no problem. You can also do payment plans. I wish I had known that when i was in CC, I thought the only way to pay was to pay in full or financial aid or scholarships...which I didn't receive until university level.
