Quote:" If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed." Thomas Jefferson.

In the vice-presidential debate, Kamala Harris "quoted" Abraham Lincoln. Paraphrasing Harris, she said that when Abraham Lincoln was 27 days away from the next election, he said he would NOT nominate a justice for the Supreme Court until AFTER the election, because the American PEOPLE deserved a chance to elect their OWN choice for the Supreme Court.

The only problem with that is that Kamala just made that up. Abraham Lincoln never said that. He did NOT nominate a justice for the Supreme Court because Congress was not in session. They didn't return until 3 days after the election. The MOMENT Congress returned, Lincoln submitted his nomination.

But Kamala Harris thinks the American people are so stupid they will just believe any made up story and fail to check on it. Even left wing leaning Snopes says what she said is false.

Sadly you’re just pulling hairs here

Surely you know the difference in character from Harris and who she is to Pence and whatever he is ?

Lol it’s pretty obvious she meant well.

@SW-User The expression in the USA is "splitting hairs". Nope. Not splitting hairs. This is an exact quote:

“In 1864 … Abraham Lincoln was up for reelection. And it was 27 days before the election. And a seat became open on the United States Supreme Court. Abraham Lincoln’s party was in charge not only of the White House but the Senate. But Honest Abe said, ‘It’s not the right thing to do. The American people deserve to make the decision about who will be the next president of the United States, and then that person will be able to select who will serve on the highest court of the land.”
