Taunton, Massachusetts Student Knowingly Attends Class at Taunton High After Testing Positive for Covid19.

Parents were also aware that their child had tested positive, and sent him to school anyway.

More than 30 students who were in close proximity to the infected student have now been quarantined.

Given the high risk of death from infection,
especially with grandparents,
and also the high risk of permanent lung, heart and brain damage after recovery from Covid,
I wonder whether legislations should be passed
to make it a crime to knowingly move about in public
when symptomatic or after having tested positive.

@hartfire The governor here in Massachusetts has mandated the use of masks, but I don't know if anything has been passed by the legislature for prosecution.

The parents of the 30 students who now have to be quarantined might be forced to stay home, and suffer additional monetary damage, if not infection within their families.

It would seem to me a matter for fines, with monetary damages, or a matter for prosecution with public health endangerment.
@4meAndyou I hope it works out.
It's terrifying to think that through no fault of their own, so many people have been put at such risk.
This virus has been making clear just how many people are selfish, irresponsible and without conscience about how their actions affect others.
