@klmdas Yes, if you will not need that money for at least five years, preferably longer in a Roth retirement account. I don’t believe in individual stocks. The very best strategy right now is to invest in a S&P 500 or a DJIA index fund.

Remember, other than a home mortgage, one should be debt free before any investments. I also believe in dollar income averaging whereas one takes out a preplanned amout out of every paycheck of say, 5-10%.
