Urban Legend has it that it's because every time someone sneezes a thousand idiot onlookers shit themselves. I'd love to get the idiot's take on it though.

@ThePerfectUsername i thought the legend went because every time someone coughed in line, 1000 morons shit themselves in terror...could be wrong though. And before anyone gives me grief I'm not mocking the possible threat( keyword there possible) but am going to mock all the people be overly crazy about it.
