Why do people during a nice and fluent chat simply stop and not respond, or simply log out?

I consider its a lack in education and respect and politeness.Or am I the only one in the world feeling this way?
Or is it normal part of culture in the US, as I know 90 % of people in SW are American ?

Life away from their screen is likely more important that making sure they respond to someone they had a nice chat with.
They walked away.
User names, people online, are only entertainment for most.

@TwiddlerofThumbs so they use real persons in the internet just for entertainment?I am aware there are real people behind, and I am educated to respect others, even when I do not look them right into their face
@Lucy18 Has little to do with education or respect and everything to do with priorities.

@TwiddlerofThumbs for me respect and politeness have priority

@TwiddlerofThumbs I would say politeness is a sign of education.
