In your opinion, how much novel reading should be assigned for homework per night or per week in a high school English class?

My solution (I'm a reader, always have been), was to walk around school reading the book, read before class, and by the time I got home I had around 30 pages left. The books we were assigned to read in school were hardly challenging for me, and definitely not thick enough...I say an hour of reading a night.

I’d suggest a subject and expect them to speak about the topic the next day.

At the end of class we would fact check.

An everyone can come to their own conclusions

A hundred pages a week doesn't seem unreasonable.

Not hundreds of pages like we had in college.
