What is the most difficult language you've studied?

Irish. It has few links with Latin and Germanic tongues except words that were stolen from English, like "Telefon". Also within Ireland each province used to have each its own version, more distinct than a dialect. The present lingo that they like to call Irish is an artificial conglomeration of these.
