Irish. It has few links with Latin and Germanic tongues except words that were stolen from English, like "Telefon". Also within Ireland each province used to have each its own version, more distinct than a dialect. The present lingo that they like to call Irish is an artificial conglomeration of these.

@Miram finnish seems like a very independent language, as if it's on its own while danish, swedish and norwegian not so much. I don't speak any of these but it's just my impression. Are you thinking of moving to Finland?

No, but my sibling will and we're very competitive. Maybe I'll get to visit her and go skiing in Levi. I am stuck at the basics though. Yes, it's different and much more synthetic 😩 It will take me ages.

@bijouxbroussard Yeah ! I like languages and seem to have an ear for them.
I learned French and German at school and as an adult have a good grasp of Italian and Spanish.
Latin is coming along and Hindi,verbally is ok but the written work......😱

@SW-User someone speaking both cypriot greek and greek greek (😂) could easily identify as a bilingual. Also pontiac greeks and cretans speak in a weird way I cannot understand 😅
