Was anyone slippered by the gym teacher at school?

Our gym teacher was a dab hand with the slipper!

dawntreader thank goodness there was not a another occasion did you have no underwear to cushion the blow and if not ten on a pair of thin shorts would be excruciatingly painful you would not sit down in a hurry

At home I often got a dozen on the bare, I even got that at school in the changing room a few times.

We weren't allowed to wear underwear under our gym shorts. I didn't mind 2 ,it was all rather impersonal in a queue, not like being called out to the front of the class. But I wouldn't want 10. I think the teacher was just saying that as a deterrent

@smiler2012: I meant with a slipper. At home I got at least 6 when I was slippered.
