What is the percentage? For all my math enthusiasts. . .

My boyfriend and I are pretty young, and make 2500 a month collectively. 800 goes towards bills, and 300 towards food. What percentage of our income goes towards bills (food included)? And how did you get your answer? I am terrible at mouth, please inform me, don't judge me.

((800+300)/2500)*100 = 44 %
But the problem is poorly worded. You cannot separate food and bills in the beginning then call them all "bills" at the end.
