What is the percentage? For all my math enthusiasts. . .

My boyfriend and I are pretty young, and make 2500 a month collectively. 800 goes towards bills, and 300 towards food. What percentage of our income goes towards bills (food included)? And how did you get your answer? I am terrible at mouth, please inform me, don't judge me.

$800 + $300 = $1,100 -----> Your total expenses.

$1,100 / $2,500 = 0.44 OR 44% -----> The percentage of your income that goes into expenses.
